Audiences can expect an evening packed with unforgettable songs and stories, as Tim looks back on how a Perth cabaret pianist ended up building one of the most eclectic and extraordinary careers in entertainment. Delivered with his signature blend of razor-sharp wit, musical virtuosity, and disarming honesty, the set list will see Tim and his band draw from three decades of unique songwriting.
Tim: “20 years ago, Dark Side took me from tiny cabaret rooms to the West End of London. In the years since then, I’ve pushed the boat out in as many directions as possible … and I’ve only been able to do so because of my fans. They’ve never flinched as I’ve turned corners and reinvented myself, always engaging open-heartedly with whatever I have to offer. I’m the luckiest artist on the planet and I can’t wait to be back touring my home country with a big joyous show, spanning my whole bloody mad career.”

We went the the Gold Coast show and what a performance it was 10 out of 10. You and your band is a world class performance tonight. I love that there is no one like you in the world. You are so talented, funny, you have a brain the size of a planet, and that you are Aussie. I wish I could have seen you more than once. I was made redundant a few months ago and i have been pretty much cooped up in the house. I paid for your show with my last two weeks pay.and I’m so glad I did. When you are out of work, you lose your confidence, you become depressed and and you wonder if you will be employed again, especially when you are in your 50’s. After your show, you have inspired me to live again. So thank you.

Thank you Tim, I loved hearing music from so many stages of your life and career. Sarah and Audrey are great musicians. I loved that everyone in the band sang, even the drummer – the harmonies took the band to next level.
“Seeing You” took my breath away just as it did in the theatre in Melbourne. My first thought when leaving was that I *must* take my husband to Groundhog Day. But I can’t find a production – surely it is on somewhere in the world? Please tell all of your worldwide fans when a production happens. It’s worth visiting another continent!

Did you know that Cairns is the perfect entry and departure point for the beginning or end of your tour. With Cairns busy International airport as the entry it shortens long haul flights, is just gorgeous as an entry point to Australia where two World Heritage areas meet – reef and rainforest – and will allow you to get over jet lag before touring the big capitals. Or on departure, as the last concert stop on your way out of Australia.
Only a few of the big international touring stars have cottoned-on to this !
