A true original. Thank you for sharing your genius with the world; you’ve made a lifelong fan out of this American lady
My Aunty in the UK went to get her grandson a copy of ‘You so F*****g Rock’ she couldn’t bring herself to say the word to ask for it so she phoned her daughter and got her to say it over the phone!!!
My daughter turned me on to you and said, “Don’t you think grandma would have liked him?” The answer was, “Yes, she would have loved him!” My mom was a professional piano player and her favorite stuff to play was silly, old songs from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, but especially parodies. I grew up listening to her play crazy, little, unknown tunes, then sharing with my friends. I have so missed her and can’t begin to thank you enough for working hard to become famous so you could share this great musical niche.
I’m an agnostic in southern Oregon, USA…Maybe , I’m the only one. Today, I listened to White wine in the sun. It was the first time since I played it to the most wonderful Mum a man could ask for. She left this earth, last January. No, I don’t know where she went. But she sure did love that song. I played it for her last Christmas, when she was so ill. I just want to tell you thank you, for putting a smile and a tear to both of our faces.
I bought a park, this summer. No, its a first for me. I bought it, because Mum would have wanted me to. Mum used to swim there, with all us kids, in the best swimming hole in Oregon. . I’m naming it Merete’s Cove after my Mum.Its one of the worlds most beautiful places. I’m trying to build a beautiful bandstand there. Mum loved music. I welcome you to sing there someday. I know its a little crazy. But including you, there would be at least two Atheists near the stage. Three including my sweet daughter, Brook, who also loves your music. Maybe I dream too big……. Either way, My family will be listening to white wine in the sun, this Christmas, and thinking of Mum.
Hi Tim – My wife and I saw you in Thousand Oaks on Saturday and said “hello” afterwards. We’re the couple from Phoenix who mentioned to you that I played piano and sang at her over the Internet and in return she married me. Pretty good trade, honestly. We made it back safely, by the way. Anyway I just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for such a fantastic show, and your transformative influence on my life. I’m very very very happy to be able to say that I shook your hand, and I’m very very very sad that I declined to be in the picture that you took with my wife. Come back soon!

Hey Tim&Co.
I first saw u(tim) @ moorabbin town hall in 05 and was soooooo fu***ng impressed-u r a genius. My sister thinks ur weird and even though i sort of agree, i still think u r awsome-kEEP IT UP.
Hey hey tim, the donut shop that I work at (Puffin Fresh Whitfords City, Perth) just started distributing Canvas Bags. Well not canvas as such, but those big reusable hard plasticy ones. I’m not too sure what they’re actually made of, but I’m very glad, because I was previously getting told off by my boss for not offering customers plastic bags to put their multiple donuts in. ‘It can’t be that hard to just *carry* them, guys, Do it for the environment.’ But apparently there’s no room for environmental friendliness in the world of donut retail.
Well g2g, I’m off to work :D
was the photographer at your radio recording at the drill hall london on the 2 nov which was great fun…loved the song about pigs very funny, hope to catch a show at the duchess got some great shots for the bbc too!!!!
To Blake:
I really meant that i dont think
We get circumsised
You get circumsised
Why not get circumsised togethor would sound as good as.
We dont eat pigs etc.
Maybe i was wrong…
Your music has been with me through some tough times in America. I am a Black woman. I don’t have much hope for changing my stars. But hearing your excellent voice rock n rolling my troubles away… at least for a day… keeps me sane. I know you do the same for millions around the world. It was my birthday a few days ago. I turned 46. I hope to see you live again before I reach 50. I promised my niece (she’s always challenging me) that I would chase one dream this year. I hope I don’t sound too weird when I say, I want to sit in that future audience of Minchin fans and scream my head off for you again. My humble dream. Much love from Portland, Oregon USA.
Thanks for the positive in this sea of controversy. I liked your message so much I bought the book!
Hi Tim. Mike from Tampa here. Once you hit 70, you start thinking of things you’d like to do while you still can. My daughter and I saw your NYC TM & his Piano and London Songs the World Will Never Hear shows. Hard to to top that. Then it hit me. Dream big! Would you consider bringing back your Royal Albert Hall Orchestra show? I’m a tennis player. Your NYC and London shows coincided with the US Open and Wimbledon. It was much easier selling going across the pond to my velp, if I also got to attend one of the majors. Thanks. Mike
I’m thankful you came to Toowoomba. Watching real people with really amazing talent was a blast of fresh air, blowing away the junk that builds up from scrolling. Phew, you came in time. Thanks again xxxx
Dearest Tim, I just wanted to post a thank you / congratulations, to you and your team on the end of your tour; the gig in Toowoomba was the perfect finale! Thank you for sharing your new work with us tonight, we could all see what it meant to you, although I did have a pretty good view of your celebratory Hi-5 during the next number. I am just hoping that tonight you felt the love of an entire generation of students, from one of those special tax exempt organisations, here in Toowoomba. Starting them with ‘Storm’ in the middle years Philosophy elective, and always ending with your UWA speech for the Yr 12’s…I’m not saying that you are a ‘tool’, but you know what? You were a great tool! Someone, whose intelligence and wit opened the eyes of a generation, and more importantly, gave hope to those who thought, or were at a minimum, interested in thinking… Love your work – its importance simply can’t be measured!
Hi Tim, I was listening to White Wine in the Sun again today. It pops up in my social media memories all the time because I’ve shared it so much over the years. My Dad really loved Christmas — he loved having everyone around him. He passed away in 2019, on the 17th of December, at 80 years of age. He just wanted to make it to one more Christmas. Upright came out that same month. The song Carry You, and the series itself, absolutely broke me… but somehow carried me through as well. I don’t think I really grieved in the way I expected to until this year. Suddenly, it’s hitting me like a train.I really miss him. This Christmas it will be just my Mum and me. I’m towing my little 1986 Viscount caravan up to the lake at Wooroonook, Victoria, to try to make something meaningful of the day for her. She’s 81 now and struggling to get around. My brother, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, and even my sons won’t be there. It’s going to be a hard one. Christmas just doesn’t bring me joy anymore. But still, I’ll sip white wine in the sun, think of my Dad, and try to make a happy memory with Mum — because I know her time is drawing close too. I just wanted to say thank you. Your music has a way of touching people at their deepest places, and these songs have been a part of my healing more than you could know. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and I hope you keep writing the kind of music that reaches people when they need it most. Thank you ~ Megan xo
Dear Tim. We went to your concert in Canberra tonight. We have to drive 2 +1/2 hours and stay overnight. It was very well worth that effort. There were many moments that made us laugh and cry and think deeply about my life and where to from here. We are in our senior years and enjoyed it all immensely. We have followed your career from the beginning and as rusted on nerds will continue to do so. I saw Matilda the musical live in Sydney and enjoyed that very much. Would love to see Groundhog if it comes our way. Thanks again for all the music and the chat. Loved it all. Love to you and your family. Coral
I saw your show in Brisbane on Friday with my partner. I have never seen a crowd so obedient to putting their phones down. We all desperately wanted to photograph the real life Tim Minchin for ourselves. Many took the sneaky blurry shots that will forever be the bragging point over Christmas dinner. The recovery from accidentally entertaining the comedian in the crowd, to the perfectly balanced sound was amazing. Thank you for giving us almost an hour of extra entertainment. Absolutely worth it. I’m so glad I saw this before seeing Metallica tickets. It would have been a hard choice. Probably would have still chosen you. This is a big tick on my life bucket list.
Hi Tim. Mike from Tampa here. My daughter and I loved yer show at the Apollo. Matilda at Cambridge there’s… no words. The London sites and a day at Wimbledon after 7 hours on the que. Could’ve been perfect, butt…You didn’t do Airport Piano, so this is all your fault. I had to do it. I’m a 70, mediocre singer, though energetic and enthusiastic. I sang Airport Piano at Karaoke last night. Sounds ok but… I live in a nudist resort. My 70 y/o 140lb nekid scrawny bod singing my favorite song. I’d include a vid, except cameras are not allowed…
Hi. I just wanted to say. I’m finally listening to “Time Machine” (I was going to do it sooner, but it felt so weird to do so right after Tom died. I felt like I had to listen to him for awhile first). And I got to The Song of The Masochocist… and broke down crying. When “Apart Together” came out it was not a good time. For anyone really. I’m in the US and it was just. SO BAD. And then that album came out and I listened on repeat. And it made things better. I would just lay in bed as it felt like we were in the 10th, 11th, 12th month of the apocalypse and would cry as songs like “The Absence of You” comforted me against the absence of the WORLD. Because that was it, the whole WORLD was a hole and it was missing and everything was horrible. And “Apart Together” was what kept ME together. And listening to “Time Machine”, 4 tracks in, and I broke down sobbing because I had somehow forgotten just how much hearing your music when I’m in a dark place, like I am again, can just mend me and make it ok. Even for a little bit. And I had always hoped someday I could tell you that in person but, I’m an American, nope, so here I am. Anyway, thanks. For putting this box here and for making all the music you do. I’ve been listening for a long time, and you’ve gotten me through so much. Thank you for everything.
This is silly because I don’t really think you will read it in person but I still want to say Thank you for saving my marriage! We’ve been through a lot and there are so many times I’ve just wanted to walk away from everything. It took me a long time to discover you (since I live in Sweden where “everyone” says “Heh, Tim who?”) but the two first songs I heard were White wine in the sun (which reminded me of the importance of family) and Not perfect (which reminded me that I am pretty nice and can stand myself). Your rock ‘n’ roll nerding makes me happy and your love songs make me sad and happy at the same time and I confess the huuuuge confirmation biases ? My 50th birthday was coming up and I felt trapped, old and unloved. I thought about spending it in Paris all by myself. Then you unveiled your UK tour! Bam! I bought tickets to Edinburgh and told my husband that he could come with me if he promised to try to understand WHY I really had to go and he was not allowed ruin it! He prepared by listening to the songs and our kids gave him “clues and keys to mummy” and he nailed them all. I haven’t felt so loved in years! And to be there seeing and hearing you live, sharing tears of laughter and touched hearts, feeling his eyes on me when I was ALIVE for the first time in years and holding his hand to all the lovesongs (including the boobs ?)… yes, you saved us. Thank you ??
…and here is the rest…

Hello
So, I’m driving along in the TMMS bus – and singing along with your CD at full blast – and nearly run over a pedestrian!! How bad is that!!??
This bloody people carrier is so huge – takes a lot of getting used to!
love ya tim:)
just want to say ur awesome and that u look heaps angsty in the photo up the top. oooh and i found that ginger song on utube and its genius as always.
Ah, Tim-Has it really been almost a year since your stay just barely Off-Broadway? We’re missing you much here in the U.S.
Looking forward to your triumphant return!
I’ve been meaning to write this since my son and I saw your show in Edinburgh last year, and subsequently at the Bloomsbury Theatre. I am a 50 something lawyer and opera singer, he is at Manchester university studying classics – we are both passionate followers of both comedy and music.
“Genius” is a word devalued by over-use, but it is completely appropriate to describe your multiple talents. We eagerly await your UK tour this autumn – thank you for the joy you have given us in the performances we have seen and in the 2 CDs which we have (which I have pretty much memorised – I am so going to sing Inflatable You as an encore at my next recital…..) PLEASE put out more of your stuff on CD – such as the Ginger song, and the awesome 9 minute “White walls, white cat” beat poem.
Or to put it more succinctly, in the words of Mikki above, “Love ya Tim”.
Luv ye loads!! Ur my new hero! Cant wait til ur glasgow gig. U canny miss me & ma friend, We’ll be wearin purple wigs in the 5th row!!!Seat numba 1 & 2. Peace, Rock n roll nerd!! xx xx
Tim, heard you on “The Skeptics Guide to Universe” podcast and just have to say how righteously rock you are. I enjoyed your interview and you have made a new fan in the US. Thanks!
When are you coming for Just for Laughs in Montreal ??? We just can’t wait.
I have been awake for over 48 hours and am in desparate need of sleep; and yet, for some reason, all I find myself doing is listening to Not Perfect and Darkside repetitively. Well, not really just “some reason”…. I have only just discovered your music and am amazed by your talent. But I don’t want to sit here and tell you how talented you are, because that (I’m would hope) is the standard comment you recieve on this website.
I really wanted to ask about/discuss the “character” you have created for performances. I was disapointed to read that you had created a character at all; I had hoped that you went on stage as simply Tim, rather than changing your own personality to better suit the public. It seems that much of this character comes from your own personality (not that I know you at all, and I swear I don’t stalk you or anything…………..*awkward pause*), but I suppose it would be very tiring for someone to be that clever 24 hours a day. I am merely wondering how much of a character this “stage Tim” really is.
Regardless, I wish you well in your career. I will give whatever assistance I can in the Canadian market….. but my goals are only selfish: please do a Canadian tour! I would really enjoy attending a live show.
Cheers
Will you be having a session after your shows in the UK to get stuff signed, and maybe a picture?
I understand your a busy man, but it would be appreiciated :)
Lx
Hi Tim,
I just wanted to say that i admire your work very much. You’ve opened my eyes to so many things through laughter and pure genius music. Thanks so much for doing what you do. and please dont stop doing it. until of course you want to.haha please come to North America, we need you over here!

Loving your work – I’m secretly booking tickets for your Southampton gig for my Hubby’s birthday – roll on September!!
I think your songs and comedy are ok, but the thing I enjoy most is typing ‘tim minchin’ on my keyboard. It’s really quite stimulating. Thanks for that.
tim you rock all i do recently is listen to your songs there wicked !!!!!!
i think your well fit tim !!!
DONT YOU EVER CUT YOUR HAIR SHORT!!!!!!
your so fit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i wish you was single!!
lol well i wish you the bes for the future xxxxx
Good God, Tim! Please come to America at some point!
Just booked tickets to see you in October. CAN’T WAIT CAN’T WAIT CAN’T WAIT!!!!
What happened to your old angry feet web page? I wanted look at the lyrics of one of your songs to try and figure out what it is that you said and its not there anymore? Or if it is, I can’t find it? Please help…
P.s Hope you are having fun on tour!
Thank you.
P.P.S I agree with Lauren X don’t cut your hair or do away with your eyeliner! He’s just jealous that he can’t pull that look off! x
Hope you’re well xx
Personally I think you should cut all your hair off, let it grow curly and natural, stop wearing make-up and start wearing shell suits. I suspect it will only be me who’s of this opinion though… x
i’ve been reading comments do not cut off your hair and keep the make up
your fit dude don’t change that
i’m rather upset as i can’t see your gig this year, i’ll only be 15 and they said i had to be 16 :(
i’m not too impressed
anyhow keep the fit hair and make up
i love it ;)
xxxxxxxxx
Shell suits, curly hair, and oooh, gold necklaces? Add some bling, it’ll be perfect.
xx
I second Linzy. Shell suits are the future and long hair and eyeliner is so over!
You’re so hot and a brilliant comedian/songster/pianist/etc… My Husband introduced me to you just today, and I can’t keep my eyes/ears off of you. So, a big “hello” from Canada, keep us laughing and amused. Oh yeah, you really are hot, I’d totally do you (if I wasn’t married of course, and if you were into me that way, and as long as it wouldn’t change things between us, and as long as you know I’m not looking for a commitment right now, and as long as you really do have a ten foot cock. You ARE God….right?)
In relation to the hair thing, I dreamt yesterday that you had cut your hair off and had bad 80’s highlights! It was all a bit wrong and confirms that it should always be long and fabulous!! The dream included a farm with ducks and geese and was a bit confusing!! So, thats my thoughts on the matter!
I love how they all demands on you… “Don’t cut your hair, put ‘____’ on your next CD, tell me whether ‘___’, come play songs on the piano at my house”
I also think it’s funny that they say, I’ll see you at your show on ‘___’ like you’re supposed to pick them out of the audience and wave, without having seen them before.
I just wanted to let you know how much I love you:
I hate teenage girls who scream at concerts with a passion.
I will be screaming at your show on the 20th of march (very ashamedly).
I would bring cookies along if I thought there was any chance you’d get them. I WILL bring cookies, and throw them at the stage from the gallery seats.
You’re my favourite. Ever.
I’ll see you on the 20th =D.
(couldn’t help myself)
kthnxbye.
Hey there Tim, the Edinburgh Festival 2008 brought you to our (me + boyfirend) consciousness. We were absoulutely grateful for the on-train random encounter with one of the festival’s producers who deeply recommeded you (just before the “Aging is Amazing” music cabaret.. but nevermind that :) ).
And later on, thanks to Youtube we kept you live in our minds (Though I have to say it’s not as vivid as live show). We loved everything, and especially enjoyed The Ginger song, If I didn’t have you and Storm. Later (through the website I already advertised too much) we also greatly enjoyed You grew on me, The guilt song and many more. We also liked The Peace Anthem (and here I come to the excuse/point of this comment) though I have to tell you that Israely Jewish people consume lots of pigs, but we really need this kind of refreshing approach to the conflict.
Please come to perform here (Israel), we truely love you.
Show in Auckland tonight was AWESOME. Loved it…
I am so excited!!!
I’m going to see a show in Glasgow in October I think. It’s going to be great, and I can’t wait for new merchandise
tonight i made you some cupcakes!!
some are vanilla and some are chocolate.
i messed up a bit with the decorating, so what was supposed to be big bird and superman now look like some sort of diseased road carnage. but i tried one and they are very very tasty.
however, since i won’t be traveling to australia for at least a few years (in which time they’ll have gone very stale…but possibly still edible if you have a strong stomach)….you should come to toronto, canada and play a gig here. and i can bring you these tasty cupcakes that i made just for you.
please hurry before the icing gets too dry and crusty.
Did you get the Bear dancing on Film, sunday night.
I have a spare boot if you need one, for the left foot. Its black though, will that matter.
Heyy Tim! I’m Alii, Azaria’s friend (one of the screaming girls in the 3rd row at Cheltenham)! I can’t wait to see you at Chelt – SO excited coz you are a complete legend! Love to you and the family xxx <3
One in a million dude! Was shown a clip of you on youtube by a mate and now everyone is addicted to so many of your songs.
Great stuff dude hopefully were be able to get some tickets to see you live in the uk this year!!!
hey tim u r epic man but i cant find ur song ten foot cock and a few hundred virgins anywhere where can i get it. ohh and if u fancyu it u could do a gig closer to lincoln so i dont have to go so far.
Highly entertaining, love comedy that makes ya think, and puts so many of peoples quirky norms into a context of reality that makes for quality hilarity. BRILLIANT. Keen on seeing you here in NZ again soon.
thanks
thanks for being a great sport :) timtams for the win! see you in melbs
You are amazing.
I loved your song that contains the words ‘fuck i love boobs though’…
now being so taken by how wonderful this song made me feel, i did not catch the name…
I am not a fucking idiot who doesnt listen to you (trust me, i was listening) but is “Fuck I Love Boobs Though” the name of that song or just some of the words?
Your intelligence astounds me (i had to look up the word ‘astound’- I am using my best effort to speak your… language?), and I think your shows are wicked (well… fucking insane, excuse me, i said think-i know).
Im not making sense. i would just like to say, thank you for your Auckland show you did recently, i would love to see you again.
just like to say that u are awesome and your dvd ‘so fucking rock’ is the third best selling comedy dvd on hmv!!! i finaly got it, took like forever in the post… xx
I saw you live in Auckland on Saturday the 7th March and thought you were the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I think I laughed a bit too much at certain points, but have recommended you to everyone I have spoken to since. Good luck with the rest of the tour, I am off to buy the DVD.
Just booked for Bristol!!! Yaaay!!!!
Much Love from Newfoundland Tim
hey tim it’s good to finally talk to you i’ve got one request to make a song called the postmans a poofter if you could thanx man
Hi Tim
I discovred you like last week on youtube :D i really love your songs, there so awsome ;D. Anyway: im just wonderin’ if u’ve ever thoght of commin to sweden? I would defenetly come 2 see u :)
/H
I just wanted to say I can’t wait until you come to Cambridge. It doesn’t really seem like the type of place you’d come as it is pretty fucking boring (not trying to put you off) and at the moment I believe I one of the very few people with kind of crazy and messy hair and that wears freakish amounts of eyeliner but it will be great to have you here. It’s gonna be awesome going to see you.
Thanks, Kate x
Seriously Tim “Storm” is amazing. Really really good. Funny, poignant and everything is on the beat. Just one of the best things i ever heard.
I did a bit of youtube research and picked up some tickets to your Auckland show on Thu night. Despite some very high expectations you delivered. The 5 people I went with all agreed you were utterly brilliant – start to finish! I particularly enjoyed Storm (the beat poem), the Ginger Song, the Good Book, though it was all exceptional. I admire you for having the guts to perform your material – especially in the US, where it is obviously a minority view. You are truly inspirational. Boo sucks to Phil Doust!
What a musical breath of fresh air. Hope you come to the USA sometime SOON!!!!
Thank you for adding some grown up levity, brilliance and beauty to the day of this caffeinated stay- at- home mom.
wahhh!! i so have tickets to your show tomorrow, and i’m so at the back of the theatre in the dress circle, but i so don’t care coz everyone wishes they were me, coz i so have tickets to your show tomorrow!!! harhar, now that i’ve had my cheerleader-style rant, i’d just like to let you know how deeply envied i am to have tickets to your show, even though from where i’m sitting you’ll be a speck. but you know what, a speck is a hell of a lot more of tim minchin than any of my friends are getting, so i am content.
can’t wait for the show!!! much love, xxx
This isn’t blocked by Mr Russel (school techie) Thats interesting, especially with the ahhh “content” its all the a*terisks clearly :D
Hooray for new merch! *buy buy buy purchase buy indulge*
I love your work, so funny yet the music is sensational. You should make your merchandise available to the US. Better yet, you should tour the US! Keep up the good work! ^_-
Just stumbled across your performance of “Storm” – fantastic! You should do more poetry. Also, you must come do some shows in the US. Specifically Washington DC. We need some humo(u)r over here!
Your new merch shop made me squeal.
Literally, I emitted a sound much resembling, “Eeeeee!”
Jesus. You’re lucky I like you.
I almost made love to myself when I saw your new Merchandise bit.
Bit too much info but there ya go.
I shall buy everything. Put yourself on sale Mr. Minchin and I shall buy you..Oh yeh. I’ll buy you good.
Wow. I feel like such a bad little angry feetin’ fan. I haven’t been here for ages. But, hey, when you have essays to write you have essays to write. I hope I just made up for it by buying a CD and a t-shirt… I tell myself that to try and justify the spending :) Hope Oz is all fine xx
Thank you for coming to Newcastle! YAY! xx
Tim, saw your show last night in Adelaide, it was absolutely fantastic.
I am wondering why you hate Canberra… that is how I read your Australian tour schedule which doesn’t include the awesomeness of Our Nation’s Capital.
Heya Tim.
Not sure if you’re able or anything, but if you get the chance, think you could come to Norway and have a few shows here?
Hope to see your show some day :)
ps, would love to hear more “serious” songs from you, you got an awesome voice!
Tim, I saw Rock’n’Roll Nerd at the London Australia film festival last night. Loved the film, great insight into how you came to be where you are today. Most of all, can I just say what an awesome wife you have! Yay for Sarah.
I’m begging you Tim, please come to Tasmania!!! it would be THE single most greatest event in all of tasmanian history!!!! PPPLLLLEEEAAASSSEEEE
hi tim.
thanks so much for the photos and chatting after your shows in adelaide.
i had such an amazing time, both nights. but then i wouldnt expect anything less from you tim. you are a comedic genius.
have a great year,
and i will be seeing you in december, yes?
love the angry-feeter cailin.xx
hey there, tis me agian. fantastic show on friday, well done. was a bit sad that you didnt perform angry (feet) though…
anyways, just thought you would find it amusing; i bought the CD for my brother on friday, and he already knows every single word to every single track.
oh, and my best friend stopped taking to me because i got tickets to your show and she didnt. =D
xx
Hey Tim,
I just wanted to say your are everything a good artist should be; humorous, intelligent, talented and honest. THANK YOU for doing what you do, you are seriously a credit to a generation of music and comedy that is just a big wank thats tailored to the idea that people are too stupid to be free thinking individuals.
Though not as ruthless, I rate your intelligent humour and out of the box comedy thinking along the lines of Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison except your stuff when it gets serious, just as fast gets dumbed down to suit your audience which I understand you need to do to be successful i guess. I’d like to see more of Tim Minchin the stand up comedian, not so much Tim Minchin the clown. Yes we live in dark times and we’ve got to take things less serious but I personally reckon you waist some of that spark you got…
Sorry maybe its just me, there isn’t really many GOOD comedians, there are joke blowing clowns, but no comedians like you sir.
Thank you again for the MANY laughs!!
Tim,
My friends and I went to your performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Adelaide last night (14/3/09), and pretty much everyone has said it was on of the best live shows they had ever been to. So thanks for the 2 hours of absolute side splitting laughter, and great quality music. Keep it up, and I hope you come back to Adelaide soon!
Yes! I agree with Mia Kambestad. It would be great if you came to Norway. I saw you for the first time at The Graham Norten show this Christmas and have been a huge fan since. You are not as huge here as you are in England, but if you do some shows here in Norway, I am absolutly sure the whole country will love you. I know you are very busy with your tour and everything, but i would do anything to get a ticket if you came to Norway:)
Tim, me and my girlfriend are both ginger… and we really see where you are coming from with the Taboo song! Love it. Big up the gingers! We’ll see you in cheltenham!
Hey Tim, where do you live and can I bring you cookies?
xxx
My mum, little sister and I went to your show at Her Majesty’s Theatre on the 13th March (I think we were one of the youngest ones there at 10 and 14), just wanted to say what a fantastic show it was!!! The best live show i have ever been to! Thankyou so much for 2 hours of non-stop laughter and thanks for signing our tickets and DVD. I loved the Ginger song, Storm, of course Canvas Bags… all of them were wonderful, and so much better live! Its your first show we’ve been to but it defiently won’t be the last! I agree with Ryan, I hope you are coming back to Adelaide VERY soon!!!
See you in the near future, Steph x

What’s worrying is that I have only to type “Tim” into google chrome and it fills in the rest of this address.
And if that doesn’t sound creepy I don’t know what does.
(the really funny thing is that this page doesn’t work in chrome)
Tim. That photo on your myspace isn’t real is it? You haven’t really shaved your hair off, have you? Oh God.
I’ll love you no matter what. xxxx
What a shame Germany isn’t an english-speaking country and what a shame it’s so far away from Australia ….that leaves us poor few english-speaking, piano-loving Germans no opportunity to come and see you…how about one gig in Germany next time you’re in Europe? In Cologne, maybe? That’s a place worth seeing, so there’d be something in it for me and you! ;-)
You’re the best!
Heya Tim 8)..Awesome talent both in musicianship and rhetoric (no disrespect). I must say I have performed “Pigs in Spa…a oh shit yeah I mean “We Don’t Eat Pigs” and it does seems to be a timeless piece. Hope it’s APRA reg. I am announcing your the author and filling out the forms so you can get $12.50 extra from Coffs – LMAO – so you can think of me when blow it all on a maccas breaky 8).
I was only recently informed that they don’t use the slang “chook” in the UK. You learn something new everyday x
I saw your show the other night. I used to be stoked whenever i saw you on tv, but then to see you live, was truly amazing. :]
Since seeing your performance at the policemans ball, I’ve found you pretty damn intriguing.
Since then I’ve bought your ‘So F**king Rock’ Dvd, made my friends watch it & leant it to others.. they all love you haha. So there’s a whole hoard of us coming to see you in Birmingham, so give us a wave up in the circle!! My mate thinks your a dish as well.. just some useless information for you there :P
hey tim, i saw you last night at the brisbane powerhouse!
fantastic performance, thankyou for the autograph :)
Saw you on Never mind the Buzzcocks for the first time the other night then borrowed your dvd from a friend, you are fantastic!
I was taken along by a friend to see you at dmh in Leicester with his housemates and you got one of them on stage, dressed him like a bear and made him dance. I’m just commenting to thank you for the nickname “Jamie-bear” it was truely inspired and the other three of us will never let it die.
Thanks Tim, for just being awesome. You’re “little monsters” seem to make light work of the increadable piano part which acompanies your fantastic voice.
If you get an angry email from a woman yelling at you about her daughter wasting money on t-shirts, it’s my mother. She’s just been on the phone and threatening to email you when I blamed your awesomeness (sorry.) Just thought you needed a warning. Get some sleep today- saw your photo today and I’m not gonna lie, you looked like shit. I’m so lovely. xx
Just a quick one to say that I found “Storm” on youtube and love it!
All my new-age hippie friends have been sent the link!

the pic i got with u at at gold coast show is and most probabely going to be my facebook display picture forever. and i wasted all of my uni internet allowance on watching u on youtube, so you better be grateful lol
Greetings Mr Minchin :D,
Just thought I’d try dropping a line in the vain hope you might possibly see it before it eclipsed by dozens of other comments all praising your greatness (rightly so I do feel).
I’m fairly certain that I’m basically repeating what all of your lovely fans have already said in that I very much admire (wow, how posh does that sound…) your work. I was recently introduced by a good friend of mine (who quite frankly I would happily marry I’m so grateful…and it’s legal now, so nyah) and have now converted many other friends and my dad. Who is buying me tickets to Norwich for my 21st Birthday. Best present ever in all honesty :D.
In the back of my slightly neurotic little mind I’ve always wanted to be a writer/performer myself and though I cannot hope to be as talented and popular as you in the future, I proudly doff my imaginary cap and say thank you for making me actually do my university essay, because failing my first year would rather put a spanner in the works…
Apologies for the long message. Have I mentioned that you are truly fabulous by the way?
we’re watching ur stuff on utube/trying to get ur hair/screaming happy little africunnnnnssss! nice u tube lement thing by the way so true XD
hey tim! thought i’d mention that me and a friend won a talent show the other month thanks to one of your songs. rock and roll nred to be specific. i thought i’d send you the youtube link to see if we made you proud… sorry if we insult you with our attempt.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26CJ3IHT4CI
hope you enjoy xxx
Hey Tim,
Saw you last year in London and haven’t laughed so hard in a long time – so thanks for that! Am proudly using my canvas bag, just had a great night in thanks to your ‘So Live’ DVD and was wondering if “White Wine in the Sun” was actually on any of your other DVDs?
That song was the one that made me so happy to be going back to Brisvegas for Christmas. Would love to see it again.
Looking forward to catching your show in Bristol in October!
Hey Tim!
My family and i saw you live last night in Brisbane and LOVED it!
You’d better be making a DVD out of this tour!
Cheers!
Great show last night in brisbane – i could’ve sat through it 10 times over. can’t wait to see you again!
Just wanted to say hi Tim! I love you and just thought I’d let you know – I’m coming to your show on 15th October at the Pavillion in Bournemouth for my birthday – I’ll be 8 rows from the front! Can’t wait!!!

i fucking love you tim<3 ur awesome!
Hmmm… Reading through the comments here there is a shocking amount of people who say ‘ur’ instead of the good old fasioned ‘You’re’ (I read at least 2.. Then I got bored) What’s happened to English? To it’s multitude of verbs and vowels and un-necessary consonants? They are all being replaced by txt spk and I’m not even going to start on the little yellow smiley faces that piss me off so much

“Its a mad world!”
Great show Saturday afternoon. All the best with the rest of the tour. Will hopefully see another DVD with the new material sometime in the near future. Thanks for putting on a great show.
Caught your show in Brisbane on Saturday and thought it was delicious – intelligent, thought-provoking and, of course, screamingly funny. Loved the ‘Ginger’ song, as a red-head it was nice to hear something positive rather than the usual abuse – go you funky ginge! You have an awesome talent Tim, am looking forward to the next instalment. p.s. my boyfriend thinks you are moonlighting as Kram from Spiderbait
I sit here thinking of someone wonderfully witty to say
Please come to Brazil someday. It’s a nice country (not really), I promise.
RE: You cutting your hair off.
I’ll love you no matter what you do to your hair.
It’s what’s inside that counts.
You’ll still have fully functioning vital organs and that’s what matters, right?
So you’re going to geelong and wollongong but not to Canberra – Why!
Tim, caught you on spicks and specks tonight ,oh my god,I want more .Loved it.So as a first timer I am not happy to find out you have already been to Adelaide, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what now !!!!!!!!!!!!?
Booked tickets to see you in Cambridge in September – can’t wait!
im listening to bears dont dig on dancing just now … and its hilarious!!! i cant wait to see you live in october!!!
xoxo
Tim,
Just wanted to say you have big fans outside of English speaking countries.
Since I first heard you in “The skeptics’ guide” (and went through youtube to hear more) I keep telling people about you. Maybe if enough people here would hear about you, they will try your peace plan. After all – “we don’t eat pigs…”. :)
Appreciation from the middle east,
Shunit
Hi Tim,
Last night on Spicks and Specks you sang from a book about body movement and God. Did you get to keep it? If so, can I please borrow it. I would of course send it back. Or could you please let me know the details so I could try to find it. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
Hello Tim!I’m from Japan.
I’ve been a big fun of you for almost 1 year. First of all, i saw the So Live DVD with my friends from Saudi Arabia and Austria. English is not my mother tang, so normally I don’t laugh with any English comedy, but On that day we’ve watched So Live, oh my god i burst into laughter! Since then, I watch the DVD everytime I get depressed. and Oh! I was also in UWA last year to study English, so I feel like you’re much closer to our ordinaly world. Anyway, I love you! Keep going Timmy!
Hey Tim :]
Saw you on Spicks & Specks last night. I absolutely loved it! That book you were reading the songs from was hilarious! Or should I say…..YOU WERE HILARIOUS!! Please come back to Brisbane soon and do another show, fortunately I was able to see you on the 22nd !! I was soooo happy!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and a million zillion more “PLEASES!!” come back to The Powerhouse in New Farm in BRISBANE SOOOON!!
xox
Hello Tim, no one too important. just another of those darn fanatics, one that would love to know where you live so I could bring you cookies but fortunately is a little more creative when it comes to stalking (“selective walking”)
Nah just kidding, my name is Asha and I’m 16,
just want to say, your music/acting/writing/ or whatever category it comes under is genius.
since i go to a pig headed school filled with hardcore bogans and adrenaline junkies, music and writing is a huge escape for me
i am learning piano, so when I stumbled upon one of your songs on youtube I immediately wanted to hear more.
From your spontaneously witty lyrics to your ridiculously catchy tunes. absolutely fantastic.
this is one of the very few sober kids from Belmont saying two thumbs up :)
once upon a time my favorite saying was i like foooood but nao i prefer i <3 tim minchin
My boyfriend introduced me to some of your work…and i laughed…a lot. so now i tell all of my friends, and its a good ol time. thanks for being incredibly funny.
Wow, my favourite musician atm, can’t tear myself away from singing darkside at any possible moment. Seeing him in September at Birmingham town hall, UK :)
Any plans in the works for a tour in the USA? WHEN then?
Hi tim. How’s oz? Good? Good. xx
I hope the tour is going well and you’re having fun : )
WOO! Your new CD and t-shirt finally arrived (they weren’t released when i saw you live in Darlo). I love them both so much and thank you for your inarguably big hand in their creation.
Ready for this? was really crammed full of songs, and i suppose thats why there was no stand-up between the songs. Which is a shame really, >Sigh< your show was too good for one CD, the poor disk couldn’t handle it all, wasn’t ready for this.
Hoping for a DVD with stand-up included in the future, untill then i will continue borderline fan-worship with the single media of sound.
Love and Joy to the family.
Jeez, that’s a lot of comments to get through to leave a comment :)
Long time fan, first time commenter. I watched Spicks and Specks on Wednesday and just HAD to say how much I swooned when you picked out the incorrect apostrophe in “you’re”. I told my husband I want to have your babies. He just rolled his eyes.
Your’e the best.
JB

Hey Tim!!!
We caught your show in Adelaide on the 13th of March. It was soo good!!! Your an awesome performer and we loved the show from the start through to the end! It would have been so good to hear you perform Angry(feet) but thats cool, your show still rocked! Caught you on tv at the Melbourne Comedy Gala as well…it was good to be able to show my mum one of your songs. Love your work!
