A true original. Thank you for sharing your genius with the world; you’ve made a lifelong fan out of this American lady
My Aunty in the UK went to get her grandson a copy of ‘You so F*****g Rock’ she couldn’t bring herself to say the word to ask for it so she phoned her daughter and got her to say it over the phone!!!
My daughter turned me on to you and said, “Don’t you think grandma would have liked him?” The answer was, “Yes, she would have loved him!” My mom was a professional piano player and her favorite stuff to play was silly, old songs from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, but especially parodies. I grew up listening to her play crazy, little, unknown tunes, then sharing with my friends. I have so missed her and can’t begin to thank you enough for working hard to become famous so you could share this great musical niche.
I’m an agnostic in southern Oregon, USA…Maybe , I’m the only one. Today, I listened to White wine in the sun. It was the first time since I played it to the most wonderful Mum a man could ask for. She left this earth, last January. No, I don’t know where she went. But she sure did love that song. I played it for her last Christmas, when she was so ill. I just want to tell you thank you, for putting a smile and a tear to both of our faces.
I bought a park, this summer. No, its a first for me. I bought it, because Mum would have wanted me to. Mum used to swim there, with all us kids, in the best swimming hole in Oregon. . I’m naming it Merete’s Cove after my Mum.Its one of the worlds most beautiful places. I’m trying to build a beautiful bandstand there. Mum loved music. I welcome you to sing there someday. I know its a little crazy. But including you, there would be at least two Atheists near the stage. Three including my sweet daughter, Brook, who also loves your music. Maybe I dream too big……. Either way, My family will be listening to white wine in the sun, this Christmas, and thinking of Mum.
Hi Tim – My wife and I saw you in Thousand Oaks on Saturday and said “hello” afterwards. We’re the couple from Phoenix who mentioned to you that I played piano and sang at her over the Internet and in return she married me. Pretty good trade, honestly. We made it back safely, by the way. Anyway I just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for such a fantastic show, and your transformative influence on my life. I’m very very very happy to be able to say that I shook your hand, and I’m very very very sad that I declined to be in the picture that you took with my wife. Come back soon!

Hey Tim&Co.
I first saw u(tim) @ moorabbin town hall in 05 and was soooooo fu***ng impressed-u r a genius. My sister thinks ur weird and even though i sort of agree, i still think u r awsome-kEEP IT UP.
Hey hey tim, the donut shop that I work at (Puffin Fresh Whitfords City, Perth) just started distributing Canvas Bags. Well not canvas as such, but those big reusable hard plasticy ones. I’m not too sure what they’re actually made of, but I’m very glad, because I was previously getting told off by my boss for not offering customers plastic bags to put their multiple donuts in. ‘It can’t be that hard to just *carry* them, guys, Do it for the environment.’ But apparently there’s no room for environmental friendliness in the world of donut retail.
Well g2g, I’m off to work :D
was the photographer at your radio recording at the drill hall london on the 2 nov which was great fun…loved the song about pigs very funny, hope to catch a show at the duchess got some great shots for the bbc too!!!!
To Blake:
I really meant that i dont think
We get circumsised
You get circumsised
Why not get circumsised togethor would sound as good as.
We dont eat pigs etc.
Maybe i was wrong…
Your music has been with me through some tough times in America. I am a Black woman. I don’t have much hope for changing my stars. But hearing your excellent voice rock n rolling my troubles away… at least for a day… keeps me sane. I know you do the same for millions around the world. It was my birthday a few days ago. I turned 46. I hope to see you live again before I reach 50. I promised my niece (she’s always challenging me) that I would chase one dream this year. I hope I don’t sound too weird when I say, I want to sit in that future audience of Minchin fans and scream my head off for you again. My humble dream. Much love from Portland, Oregon USA.
Thanks for the positive in this sea of controversy. I liked your message so much I bought the book!
Hi Tim. Mike from Tampa here. Once you hit 70, you start thinking of things you’d like to do while you still can. My daughter and I saw your NYC TM & his Piano and London Songs the World Will Never Hear shows. Hard to to top that. Then it hit me. Dream big! Would you consider bringing back your Royal Albert Hall Orchestra show? I’m a tennis player. Your NYC and London shows coincided with the US Open and Wimbledon. It was much easier selling going across the pond to my velp, if I also got to attend one of the majors. Thanks. Mike
I’m thankful you came to Toowoomba. Watching real people with really amazing talent was a blast of fresh air, blowing away the junk that builds up from scrolling. Phew, you came in time. Thanks again xxxx
Dearest Tim, I just wanted to post a thank you / congratulations, to you and your team on the end of your tour; the gig in Toowoomba was the perfect finale! Thank you for sharing your new work with us tonight, we could all see what it meant to you, although I did have a pretty good view of your celebratory Hi-5 during the next number. I am just hoping that tonight you felt the love of an entire generation of students, from one of those special tax exempt organisations, here in Toowoomba. Starting them with ‘Storm’ in the middle years Philosophy elective, and always ending with your UWA speech for the Yr 12’s…I’m not saying that you are a ‘tool’, but you know what? You were a great tool! Someone, whose intelligence and wit opened the eyes of a generation, and more importantly, gave hope to those who thought, or were at a minimum, interested in thinking… Love your work – its importance simply can’t be measured!
Hi Tim, I was listening to White Wine in the Sun again today. It pops up in my social media memories all the time because I’ve shared it so much over the years. My Dad really loved Christmas — he loved having everyone around him. He passed away in 2019, on the 17th of December, at 80 years of age. He just wanted to make it to one more Christmas. Upright came out that same month. The song Carry You, and the series itself, absolutely broke me… but somehow carried me through as well. I don’t think I really grieved in the way I expected to until this year. Suddenly, it’s hitting me like a train.I really miss him. This Christmas it will be just my Mum and me. I’m towing my little 1986 Viscount caravan up to the lake at Wooroonook, Victoria, to try to make something meaningful of the day for her. She’s 81 now and struggling to get around. My brother, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, and even my sons won’t be there. It’s going to be a hard one. Christmas just doesn’t bring me joy anymore. But still, I’ll sip white wine in the sun, think of my Dad, and try to make a happy memory with Mum — because I know her time is drawing close too. I just wanted to say thank you. Your music has a way of touching people at their deepest places, and these songs have been a part of my healing more than you could know. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and I hope you keep writing the kind of music that reaches people when they need it most. Thank you ~ Megan xo
Dear Tim. We went to your concert in Canberra tonight. We have to drive 2 +1/2 hours and stay overnight. It was very well worth that effort. There were many moments that made us laugh and cry and think deeply about my life and where to from here. We are in our senior years and enjoyed it all immensely. We have followed your career from the beginning and as rusted on nerds will continue to do so. I saw Matilda the musical live in Sydney and enjoyed that very much. Would love to see Groundhog if it comes our way. Thanks again for all the music and the chat. Loved it all. Love to you and your family. Coral
I saw your show in Brisbane on Friday with my partner. I have never seen a crowd so obedient to putting their phones down. We all desperately wanted to photograph the real life Tim Minchin for ourselves. Many took the sneaky blurry shots that will forever be the bragging point over Christmas dinner. The recovery from accidentally entertaining the comedian in the crowd, to the perfectly balanced sound was amazing. Thank you for giving us almost an hour of extra entertainment. Absolutely worth it. I’m so glad I saw this before seeing Metallica tickets. It would have been a hard choice. Probably would have still chosen you. This is a big tick on my life bucket list.
Hi Tim. Mike from Tampa here. My daughter and I loved yer show at the Apollo. Matilda at Cambridge there’s… no words. The London sites and a day at Wimbledon after 7 hours on the que. Could’ve been perfect, butt…You didn’t do Airport Piano, so this is all your fault. I had to do it. I’m a 70, mediocre singer, though energetic and enthusiastic. I sang Airport Piano at Karaoke last night. Sounds ok but… I live in a nudist resort. My 70 y/o 140lb nekid scrawny bod singing my favorite song. I’d include a vid, except cameras are not allowed…
Hi. I just wanted to say. I’m finally listening to “Time Machine” (I was going to do it sooner, but it felt so weird to do so right after Tom died. I felt like I had to listen to him for awhile first). And I got to The Song of The Masochocist… and broke down crying. When “Apart Together” came out it was not a good time. For anyone really. I’m in the US and it was just. SO BAD. And then that album came out and I listened on repeat. And it made things better. I would just lay in bed as it felt like we were in the 10th, 11th, 12th month of the apocalypse and would cry as songs like “The Absence of You” comforted me against the absence of the WORLD. Because that was it, the whole WORLD was a hole and it was missing and everything was horrible. And “Apart Together” was what kept ME together. And listening to “Time Machine”, 4 tracks in, and I broke down sobbing because I had somehow forgotten just how much hearing your music when I’m in a dark place, like I am again, can just mend me and make it ok. Even for a little bit. And I had always hoped someday I could tell you that in person but, I’m an American, nope, so here I am. Anyway, thanks. For putting this box here and for making all the music you do. I’ve been listening for a long time, and you’ve gotten me through so much. Thank you for everything.
This is silly because I don’t really think you will read it in person but I still want to say Thank you for saving my marriage! We’ve been through a lot and there are so many times I’ve just wanted to walk away from everything. It took me a long time to discover you (since I live in Sweden where “everyone” says “Heh, Tim who?”) but the two first songs I heard were White wine in the sun (which reminded me of the importance of family) and Not perfect (which reminded me that I am pretty nice and can stand myself). Your rock ‘n’ roll nerding makes me happy and your love songs make me sad and happy at the same time and I confess the huuuuge confirmation biases ? My 50th birthday was coming up and I felt trapped, old and unloved. I thought about spending it in Paris all by myself. Then you unveiled your UK tour! Bam! I bought tickets to Edinburgh and told my husband that he could come with me if he promised to try to understand WHY I really had to go and he was not allowed ruin it! He prepared by listening to the songs and our kids gave him “clues and keys to mummy” and he nailed them all. I haven’t felt so loved in years! And to be there seeing and hearing you live, sharing tears of laughter and touched hearts, feeling his eyes on me when I was ALIVE for the first time in years and holding his hand to all the lovesongs (including the boobs ?)… yes, you saved us. Thank you ??
…and here is the rest…

At least Channel 10 had the decency to telivise the whole song. Hoorah x
When is “if i didn’t have you going to be available to download??” i love that song 5/5 :D
You’re quite amazing Tim, my friend and I have failed many attempts at an Australian accent due to your inspiration.
All i was going to ask, was how long you’ve spent playing musical instruments (particularly piano) and if you’re “relatively skilled” with more than just the piano, cause I think it’d be a fantastic idea if you begin to branch out to more instruments for your acts.
Like a Bill Bailey of Australia, but focusing on the musical comedy, more than the stand up comedy with music :D
also, your comment of “Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies” up there ^^^^
I could post you some from the UK?
or i could promise to give you them in Newcastle in October if you like? what’s your favorite kind of cookie? =]
Also just wanna make a quick note of how much I admire your musical performance and comedic talents! you really are one of a kind, Tim =]
heyy tim, think you songs are geat! ever thought of making an album??
Thank you so much for great music! You are very welcome to perform in Sweden if you’re ever in this part of the world.
Just saw you perform!
You’re amazing! …And deep as, bro. :]
I totaaly had a dream about you last night! it was so good I woke up with a massive cheesy grin on my face you came to my school and you were 6 foot 10 or something like really really tall then we became like bestest buds and there was something to do with a pirate ship too? not too sure what that was about tho :D
Tim I saw you way back at the Fringe and I’m doing everything I can to spread the minchin love across canada! You are the coolest cat I’ve ever come across! Please come to Canada one fine day…

Hey Tim, going to your Sydney show tomorrow night. So excited. My wife and I are leaving our month old firstborn child with someone else for the night for the first time. Looking forward to a nervous, hilarious night. Take care.
Popped in for a quick glance-over. Friend of mine showed me some of your tunes on YouTube and, uh… I’ve kinda been watching them on and off for DAYS. I love your stuff. Now- to find monies for a show or CD or something…
Cant wait to see you in Cheltenham! your fucking amazing! Love the so fucking rock DVD, never laughed so much in my life!xx
I have introduced your music to Windermere in the Lake District. Not sure about the people (they seem to be fairly elusive) but the swans certainly liked it, especially the Phil Daoust song. xx
Seattle, Washington checking in. So when do your plans for US domination begin? Keep on keeping on.
D
I do hope my librarian friend and her new husband enjoy your matinee in Sydney. I also hope she gets a chance to say hello to you after. Since I hear you’re doing the DVD taping though, that’s probably unlikely? Anyway, sounds like people are LOVING the show. Hope you’re having fun too!
I’m way too down for you for my own good .
Tim you rock … a lot!
wishing you the best of luck in the future.
keep on rockin in the free world!!
omg i cant belive his in aus again for more entertainment woot woot
Coins don’t go in your mouth! They’re yucky! Your mouth is for food.. and someday cock!
Loved the show tonight, x
Just love your balance of wacky, funny, freaking rude, serious and just plain weird. Love the one about the good book. The last person that made me laugh that much was Billy Connolly. And I’m a redhead. Good job. Go Tim!
Only a Ginger, can call another Ginger a Ginger.
Fucking LOVED your show last nite Tim! You were amazing, made my weekend a memorable one! Can’t wait for the opportunity to see you live again!
Bloody awesome show on Saturday.
One tiny little thing though… your Jesus was wearing a crucifix.
Which, you know, was fucking hilarious when we realised it… so maybe it was deliberate?
Anyway, it didn’t detract from the show at all. If anything, it just made us laugh harder… at a totally inappropriate moment :)
Good luck with the rest of the tour!
I am so pissed off at myself. I had tickets to come and see your show on Sunday 5th April at the enmore and I bloody forgot. I can’t believe it. I was so looking forward to it but had so much other shit going on that I missed it. I do hope that you can find it in your heart to come back to Sydney again and I will tatoo it on my forehead so I don’t miss it.
tim,
I’m seeing you for the 3rd time in septemeber!!
I can’t get enough!!
are you playing at latitude again this yearrrr???
Lizzy! xx
Going to see you was the best thing I’ve done so far this year ^^
Why do you have to be in australia on my birthday?!
:'(
Well Tim, I travelled all the way through Tahiland, China and the Northern Territory, fighting off various mythical creatures and saving damsels in distress along the way, and now that I’ve finally gotten to Adelaide, it appears I’m too late…
I doubt i could make it to Melbourne for your final performance before you head off to Perth, this makes me sad…
All i can do now is book tickets to see you in London on my birthday (3rd October)… It was a noble effort…
Seriously though, when are you coming to SWEDEN? We’ll chase all the polar bears off the streets when you’re coming. Promise.
tryin to sort tickets to se you in october, my daughter turned me on to you and she doesn’t get why some of your songs make me cry a little bit, huge love to you and yours, keep smilin.x
Just saw you in Geelong
I bloody loved every single second of it!
Every song was awesome!
i was hoping you were going to play “So Fking Rock” though
Oh well, it was a great performance, hope ya come back!
Loved “Only a ginger can call another ginger ginger”. Hope you release a cd or dvd with this on it soon. Thanks Tim was a great show.
Hi Tim !!
Will you be making a dvd of the stuff you did in your shows while you were in Australia? I hope so it was all soo good, especially the beginning. I was so excited when you came out onto the stage :D
Well I hope i can see you next time you come to Australia my whole family do to.
Cyaxx
P.s YOUR SHOWS ARE AWESOME. I love your songs.
Hello Tim. Don’t know if you still get time to read this, but I had planned things to say to you last night in Geelong, though for the life of me I can’t remember what. Suffice to say I think you’re a wonderful human being, and thank you for being so very lovely. It was fantastic to finally meet you. :) See you in Melbourne, and I’ll try not to be so shaky and silly this time. :P
xoxox
I’m absolutely loving your sexy bunny photo on FB Tim. Perhaps you will now be synonymous with Easter?
Forget the Easter Bunny, I want my sweet treats delivered by you… :-P
Saw the ‘Rock & Roll Nerd’ documentary last week. Laughed & cried, it’s fantastic!
Can it be the 30th of April already? Because i want to see rock n roll nerd on abc1 8.30. But i don’t want it to be the 30th because i have to go back to school on the 27th but i want too see it now. but i might be geting it on dvd anyway p.s tim i love you!!
hi Tim. I hope you are well. I wish you were doing a show nearer to south west Devon in England as I would love to see you live but can’t travel very far. I think you are a very talented man!!!
take care. xx
hi tim, happy easter!! hope you have a great day. even if your not doing anything. love you!:)
Merry Easter Tim and family!!! Don’t eat too much chocolate. :)
Steph xx
A-HA! The countdown is on for Melbourne! APRIL 14 with the angry forum @ the Forum!
hey, I came across your music from the interview you did on the skeptics guide to the universe podcast – but i live in the USA – where can i buy your music?! i noticed you aren’t even listed on itunes :(
TIM!! if i was not a man i would kiss you, wait i would anyway lol. you make some great songs and i am trying to learn “inflatable you” on piano and i wanna know if your going to do sheet music?? other then that YOUR AMAZING!! and keep up the good work (which im sure you have been told a million times)
Hey.
I can just leave a messasge? You really are so fucking rock. Love the sitem got all the stuff. Just waiting for you to come a LITTLE closer to my half of the world. (Norway at the moment but anything left of Bolivia will do)
Btw I`ve put jamming with you on my list of things to do before I die.
1) Jam with Eric Clapton, 2) Do anything with Dave Matthews and now 3) Jam and impres Tim Minchin. Possibly not in that order. Eric isn`t returning my calls. Or E-mail. Or pony.
Well done on promoting atheism (take my wife) might be one of the greatest songs of our time. (“Our” being me and my girlfriend/fiancè and anyone else who agrees with me).
Have you met Richard Dawkins? If so can I touch you?
Maybe dedicate a song to him? “The (un)masked avenger or something.”
Can`t wait till you decide to come to Norway, (but, using my psycic powers, I fear i might have to). You can freeze your ass off, eat some fish and play some songs. You can stay at my place. On the couch though. I barely know you.
TIM! U R THE GREATEST, saw u in geelong on thursday and only stopped laughing enough to type this a couple of minutes ago. If I was allowed into the forum in melbourne I would book a ticket to see u every night there. PLEASE, PLEASE COME BACK SOON!
NOINK!
Come to Norway! (:
please, please
I would love to see you live, and I am sure I am not the only one:)
Hello from Miserably Wet Glasgow! :) it’s like, 4.30AM and I’ve just finished watching So F***ing Rock (4th time today – I’ve been tidying my bedroom drawers) and just want you to know that I’m totally booking up to come and see you at the Pavillion! I only found out about your show at the Concert Hall last year about 2 weeks before it (won’t lie, fell in love with your comedy after watching the Secret Policemans Ball) and you were completely SOLD OUT. I was mucho unhappio!! but yay, you’re coming back! gonna try sleep now :)
Dont you know you wanna rock it with me?! Woop, hell yeah!
will you ever come to play in the United States?
Tim, you have to come to the U.S…you’d become a legend here. Jeesh, if Dame Edna can do it! The West Coast of the U.S is 4,000 miles closer to Perth than London…it just makes sense!
Your humour, songwriting and intelligence would be a perfect match for the good people of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle etc…you can stay at my place, I’ve got an extra room…but no hanky panky with the missus!
Cheers
I had the privelege of seeing Tim perform at the Powerhouse for the Brisbane Comedy Festival. I honestly cannot remember the last time I laughed quite so hard. I’ve never seen anyone make ‘clever’ as funny as Tim Minchin does, and his music is beautiful to boot. I look forward to following his career and the great things to come! Keep up the good work, Tim.
I had the pleasure of seeing Tim live recently in Sydney. I laughed till I cried, and am now devoted to you Tim. Thanks for the good times!!! ;)
For the love of F**K Tim, come to the States!!!!!!!!
Pure genius tonight, Tim. Thanks for a brilliant show!
I’d like to learn to time travel so I can toddle on forward to the 12th October when I am going to see you perform in Aberdeen because I honestly cannot wait ^_^
love you muchly xx
I emailed a link to you singing “If I Didn’t Have You” on YouTube to some office mates because I thought it was so cool. Only one person responded that she loved it and would send the link to her lovelorn son. Everyone else avoided eye contact with me because they didn’t get it.
Do you ever have that problem?
Hi, i don’t really have a comment as much as a question. Do you sell song books so i can learn to play your songs? :)
Tim,
Please come to the States (Philadelphia in particular) as soon as you can manage.
Stop by for dinner or a drink if you have a chance.
Matt
You are amazing Tim.
Im coming to see u on 17th sept in St Albans, Pleaaassseeeeee can u sing *If I Didnt Have U* its my absolute fave!!!
See u then!
Love G XXX
“Ready For This” in Melbourne last night was fantastic! My friends and I laughed the entire time! I really admire your guts to say what you think, your unbelieveable intelligence and your logical take on life. Congrats on ANOTHER great show :o)
Happy to see I’m not your only Swedish fan. Actually I think you have quite an audience here. You wouldn’t let a few polar bears stand in your way?
Sigh. Well im sitting here attempting to write an essay on how to make transition metal chemistry interesting to kids (and other impossibilities) and im listening to so F**king rock in the background and somehow the essay just isn’t writting itself. sigh.
Ah well. Looking forward to seeing you in Bradford in October.
I got so excited today when i saw you were touring i went to get tickets then saw you had to be 18, now im quite pissed off.
Hi Tim
As a big fan of your work I listened with interest to your Skeptics interview over the weekend. As a Christian (other demographic bits – single mother & nursing student) I was impressed with what you had to say on evolution & religion.
I’ve believed in intelligent design for most of my life, whereby God created human-kind using evolution as a process. Evolution is evidence based on sound scientific research obviously and creationism/Christianity is based on the very opposite; faith. Intelligent design incorporates creationism with science. This is a convenient solution to the ‘where do we come from’ question for Christians (or anyone who fancys it really) however after listening to your interview I realised I believe in it because it’s an easy answer and not because I’ve really thought it through. This is still a work in progress for me.
I’d be interested do know if you feel there are any phenomena in life that are faith based? Or are you strictly a science man?
Thanks for taking the time to read my email. All the best for the rest of your Aussie tour. It would be really great if you toured all of NZ sometime.
Cheers, Debra
Please come out with an album with Eddie Perfect,
too great .
You are like the greatest ever man! I’m like a huge fan! You have to come to sweden sometime!!
AHHHHHHHHH!
I have tickets for May 2nd! AAAAAAAAHH!
I love what you’re doing, keep up the good work! And possibly come back to Perth so we ca have a drink? Or go to a fancy restaurant? Or…
Back to my place?
For a drink?
>_>
<_<
Yeah…
saw you play the forum on saturday night. you had me in happy tears of laughter before the first song was even finish, you comedic genius you!
Looking forward to seein you play Glasgow Tim – y’know you’ll get a proper Scottish welcome i.e. handed a beer,a kilt and tormented with aussie jokes relentlessly :)
I saw you in Melbourne last night and had a great time, laughing all the way through the show. But I do feel compelled to point out that gravity is a law, not a theory. Can you work that in?
My son Daniel is a huge fan and we will be travelling a couple of hours to see your Saturday night show in Perth. The only seats we could get were obstructed view, so could you please make sure you move around a lot so we get glimpses.
When are you coming to the states? We need you. We’re not as far into the weeds as you might think. Come have a visit.
Hi Tim
Just managed to get tickets to see you in Tunbridge Wells in October – nearly sold out! Wouldn’t miss your shows for the world – you’ll know me cos I’ll be waving my canvas bag!!
Please come to the USA!!
Okay so, it’s not cool that you’re in the UK (and mostly sold out) from september to october, because i won’t be going there until christmas ):
timmy! i am trying to get to your show but god dam you’re too popular and i have left it too late. will still keep trying and hopefully see you next week lots a love
Hi Tim – hiring the Forum was the perfect venue to house your quorum, if I’d used my head and planned ahead, our seats would have been nearer, wouldn’t care if they’d been dearer, next time I’ll book further in advance, then I’ll have a better chance of sitting in a better place and getting a better view of your face. Love from Miss Theresa and my beautiful daughter, Miss Erika, your tapping glamour kitten fans. We’ve crowned you an honorary glamour kitten, cos you’re the coolest cat and we’re decidedly smitten now that we’ve seen you live for the first time in our lives. Thank you for being you and no-one else. I wish I had taped your Andrew Denton interview because the song you wrote for your baby daughter was the most beautiful thing I have heard in years. Is it purchasable? Hope to see you in the crowd (singing loud) at Southbank on International Tap Dancing Day. Love again from Miss Theresa and Miss Erika.xxx

Also, please come to Colorado, it sucks here and you would make it better.
hey timmy love you
hey tim,
i would regret to inform you that my brother limmy has taken quite a liking to your cat. I think it would be a good idea to keep it indoors for the time being.
Kind regards

Hey just finished watching your dvd. God i love it. You should be king of the world. Can you imagine how great that would be. Anyway now watching saw v. Tim minchin and a horror movie what a combination. I love it X. ;) also could you reassure me that its the 11th of oct that your playing glasgow as other sites have you down as playing there on the 12th.
Hey Tim
Just wanted to say that I love your work. Own and have watched your So Live DVD countless times and you never cease to amaze me with your piano playing and wity lyrics.
One song that particularly got my attention was ‘Rocka dn Roll Nerd’. This song fits with my own life almost to a T. From your choice of music, to your bed time and even the marrying the woman you lost your… well you know..

Hey tim just wanted to let you know my friend and i have made a big chocolate cake for your birthday its waiting on ur front step whenever ur ready ;-)
greetings to timothy anythony wallis minchin. i have closely studied your works and found there comedic artistic value to be of high regard on comparison with the hounds of tribute tommorow. it is likely upon meeting a serious of verbs, adjectives, nouns and adverbs would be exchanged but not neccessarily in that order. don’t.
Thank you for your time (approximate reading tim 1:10 seconds). i beleive the time u spent would make your song serpent lose momentum.
timothy,
my first message was deleted because it wouldnt accept my email address. I am sincerely unsatisfied. This is why i have decided to sell my guitar. I am quite the fumer.
You are rashnay. Thankyou.
ahhhh tim tim tim i shall see you in a matter of months haha coventry on 27 september see you then

Lol. You must hear it alot.
But I think you’re very talented.

HI Tim, I saw your show last night with some friends and family and we all loved it! Thankyou for putting up with my sister and friends at the signing where they told you to have their babies and that they loved you a lot, which you may not even remember because I know you see a lot of people. But either way, thankyou for being so nice about them and not calling security haha. Hope you have a great tour and I look forward to your next one :)
xo

Hooray for more gigs. :)

So here’s the scoop…There are bunch of us here in the States that are stuck with youtube videos and not much else. Why the hell aren’t you on Itunes? I think I nearly killed a puppy after watching “Storm,” I was laughing so hard. yeah, so….that’s a little random, but my points still valid. How are we supposed to get our fix of Tim?
please come to the US. :)
Hi Tim
Just got back from your tuesday show. Was so good to see you on stage. As usual your performance made me snort and cry. I loved your rendition of sleeping babies and Storm. I feel like most of the laughter from the audience is like a collective outpouring of relief that someone is brave enough to express what goes on in our private minds, which is so great to be a part of; to laugh out loud at something which normally (and stupidly, but under the circumstances understandably) we may chastise ourselves for even thinking. Anyway HUGS.
OMG!!! Just found my mum is taking me to watch you for my birthday i am so hapy i cant wait. I love your music it is amazing :D
Loved your show last night – not a bad response “from a Perth audience” on a Tuesday night I thought. One last word on homeopathy. I had a friend who tried to kill himself with homeopathy – he took an underdose !
Tim … just got home from your Wednesday night show 29/04/09 in good old Perth.
What a fucking hoot. Top stuff mate.. keep going hard
Really good Tim,
Enjoyed your song Drowning, looking forward to
listening to more. Turned on to you by a dear
friend from Missouri. Look forward to the movie
as well.
Oscar Benson
Hey Tim,
Saw your show last night at Perth Concert Hall and it was one of the greatest things ever seen, truly terrific night out. Thanks heaps and looking forward to seeing you back in Perth soon. All the best mate.
Ryan
I stumbled upon your music about half a year ago and I still listen to your songs every other day or so. I almost 100% agree with your views on religion and I share your sense of humour. Keep on rolling, you’re so fucking rock :)
Hi Tim,
I’ve just watched a show on ABC documenting your fantastic journey and rise to comedy fame. Congratulations!
I just wanted to say how incredibly inspiring you and your story is. It has given me the inspiration to follow my own dreams…
Thanks, for not only making me laugh but for also being an inspirational Australian..
How the fuck did i miss out on seeing you live. i just saw you played in wollongong not long ago which is 40 minutes away, god i would of given up my parental rights and handed the kids to the dept of community services ( cause they would of been home alone) to have the privilege of seeing your show shhhhhhhiiiittttttttt!. Lets hope next time your in the area ( come to Bowral NSW )that us mere human beings are better informed.
Cheers.
You are brilliant.
I wish you and your wife all the best with your bubby.
The doco on the ABC was exciting and inspiring and surprining. I have enjoyed your work on commercial tv over the past 6 months. Hope to catch a gig in Brisbane.
Well done
May love surround you always.
Just saw the docco on the TV…… and just in case you are searching for more affirmations – you have just collected another fan!
I just watched Rhian Skirving’s doco on ABC TV in Australia. You really are so fucking rock – and so is your wife. Thank you for your comedy and all the risks you took to get our attention. Right now there is so much crap going on in the world – global financial meltdowns, swine flu, death of Bea Arthur…(chuckle). I get caught up in getting the kids ready, getting to work, keeping the house going, trying to eat right, drink less, be awake enough for sex and relaxed enough to get to sleep. What you’ve inspired me to do is take a few risks tomorrow with what I’m passionate about. And just see what happens.
Just watched Rhian Skirving’s doco!
i love in australia! and man! you fucking rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xD
oh also i just found out ur bday is a day after mine!
love!
Have seen your last 3 shows in Brisbane and loved each of them. Dragged my brother to your most recent one and he thought it was fantastic. Glad that everything is working out for you and always thought that you would get far with your talent. Will be keeping an eye out for when you are around Brisbane. Loved the doco on you and love how intelligent your songs are.
Cheers
Kat
Congratulations on the docco. Can’t wait to see the full version when the DVD comes out next week. I think that yours, Sarah’s and others’ belief in your ability is an important part of your success. You have to believe to achieve. My wife pointed out the fact that to have documented the lead up to the success was testament to the belief in your ability to achieve your goals. Thank you to you and Sarah for sharing your journey so far. Your fans old and new will be there supporting you guys for a long time to come!
Just like all the others, I just watched the doco on the ABC. Wow your amazing. Good luck and Congrats for getting so far!
Hey Tim, I saw you in Wollongong not long ago, and thought you were fantastic!
I’m a big fan.. And I think you should come back to Wollongong ASAP ;) ok? ok!
Hello. *uses force powers* You must write a song about cheese. *uses force powers again* Cheese is very important to the fundamentals of this world. *uses force powers* Think about cheese, and you will realise it’s importance. *uses force powers for the sake of using force powers.*

Tim & Sarah. Just watched ‘Rock N Roll Nerd’. It was the most heartwarming show I’ve seen in a long time. Well done to both of you. Tim, to see your beginnings, know how far you’ve come, and to see it documented was brilliant. You deserve all your success and more. Sarah, I cried with you when you lost your first baby. To see you finally get your wish was just beautiful. Congratulations to both of you for getting through all the tough times together. Hopefully life just gets more brilliant by the day. Good luck.
Hi Tim Just watched your excellent doco on ABC!! It was fantastic!! Its the longest ive sat still in ages!! Goodluck to you, baby and lovely wife
You are so f*#k’n rock!!!
Great documentary on ABC. We are from London, currently in Sydney, and had never heard of you until tonight but will definately be looking out for more of you. Disappointed you are not performing here and only in Perth, but when we are back home in London at the end of the year will be looking for your gigs. Absolutley fantastic!
Hi Tim, I’m assuming the bad review shown on the doco was from Phil Daoust? Here’s hoping he took your advice and found that new job. I imagine his dreams were crushed as a child and just wants to return the favour. Either way your Wollongong show was quite enjoyable. Thanks for pointing out to that gentleman he was wearing a suit entirely made of leather…perhaps he didn’t notice…tragic!
Tim, just watched the doco on the ABC- absolutely bloody brilliant stuff. Charming guy, amazing talent, great look (gorgeous baby too!). Love your work, keep it up.
Yes, you are a rock and roll nerd……and after watching you live at the Enmore, and seeing you tonight on the ABC – a nerd you may be, but an extremely talended nerd!! Keep putting it out there Tim, you are the man!!
Tim, Watched the doco on ABC, great to see your soul driven ambitions and expressions have been finally appreciated by the greater population. You bring a little bit of laughter and reality to this worlds pretencious troubles and home truths.Keep sane on the wicked road to stardom.
Hi Tim,
Wow I loved the documentary aired on the ABC in Australia! It was so inspirational and heart warming to see what you have been through and witness all the ups and down in your journey to success. I love the show and think you’re a brilliant singer/songwriter/pianist. Keep rockin!!

Have a shit day…cause tomorrow can always be better!
Tim, you rock! Saw your show last time you were in Perth and loved it … oops took the mother in law and her friend… lucky they were pretty cool… They loved the music! We loved it all and also loved Rhian’s documentary on the ABC… u seem so totally normal! Good luck, you deserve all the success as you have obviously worked extremely hard. Go the wife and baby too!
Just saw Rhian Skirving’s docco on the Beeb (ABC). Saw your show in perth last year and really enjoyed it. Now I know the story ‘of the making of’. Well done on having theballs to take a risk. You and your wife kinda made me jealous I never had kids! Rock on, your the best.
When are you going to come to America? I heard your interview on Resonance FM’s ‘Little Atoms’ and I’m excited to see you.
Hi Tim,
I’m housesitting in Bateman and just saw Rhian Skirving’s doco whilst visiting my sister who just had her gall stone removed. It was such an amazing thing to see your doco, so inspiring to. I just lay there and thought what a well made doco. It really touched me….and when you held your baby for the first time I thought, wow! you have very nice clothes.
Kind Regards
The Jack Russel Housesitter
Your live show tuesday, watching ‘So Live’ DVD wednesday, and the ABC doco on thursday, I should be ‘Minchinedout’ (sounds like French oral sex !!)
Yes, yes, yes gimme more big boy !!! Oops, think I’ll crack open a six pack & watch the footy !!!
Heya,
Busy day today huh? Everyone’s talking! I went and saw your show last night,it was way cool. I’ve been listening to your stuff for a couple years now and am way hooked – have actually paid for a cd, instead of being a thief an ripping it off the net (I can’t help it – my boyfriend is a badass computer geek). Anyway, just a quick question: with the song “Darkside” is there a joke or something bend the accent that emerges, or did it just happen the first time you came up with it and you decided to keep it? It’s been bugging me for ages!
Anyway, good luck with the rest of your world tour.
Hi Tim
Just wanted to say “I love your work”. I watched Rock + Roll Nerd on the ABC last night. Laughed, cried and everything in between. Thank you!
